some of you are going to be very angry with me but i don’t really care: 90% of these youtubers / social media influencers aren’t revolutionary, smart, creative or even entertaining. they all have the same ugly personality and are extremely manipulative. one beauty guru calling out the other isn’t “iconic” ESEPCIALLY if this person has done horrible racist + transphobic things before and hangs out with terrible people. doing a live stream of a mental breakdown when you’re an adult isn’t cute or empowering, posting 45 minute apology videos where all you do is cry and not actually apologize is annoying as fuck. and these people are making money of it! it really bothers me so much this is one of the ugliest parts of social
